Counseling and Therapy

for Adolescent Depression

Helping adolescents that suffer from symptoms of depression find meaning and joy in life again!

Sometimes, life sucks!

Perhaps right now is one of those times :(

Most teens who start therapy for Depression feel like they are going around in circles, repeating negative emotions. Maybe you're unmotivated to complete your school work or to do anything in your free time.

Stuck in negativity and feeling miserable all the time, you may feel like life is being wasted.

Do any of the following resonate with you?

  • You feel lonely, even when you are with others.

  • You feel sad, miserable, or hopeless?

  • You lost the joyful feelings that you used to have in life.

  • You wake up every morning feeling overwhelmed and depressed.

  • You know that sadness isn't helpful but getting out of it alone isn't possible.

If these sound true for you, I want you to know that healing is possible!

You might feel embarrassed to open up about what you’re really going through, especially to your family and friends.

Therapy provides a non-judgemental space for you to talk freely about what’s bothering you.

You don't have to always prioritize everyone else's needs above your own.

Therapy can help you rise above your Depression!

It is possible to feel better!

Imagine a life where you could...

  • Be high energy, motivated, and ambitious.

  • Have improved attitude, mood, and productivity.

  • Improve your relationship with yourself and those you choose to share yourself with.

  • Get to the root problems and solve those instead of using band-aids.

Therapy helps you start move towards your ideal life with less confusions and more confidence.

You will get you the fresh perspective you need to feel shed insecurities and grow into who you really are.

Together, we will build a toolbox of practical actions you need to find your way through difficult feelings and situations and deal with the challenges that arise in life.

Even if you are not usually comfortable opening up to people, therapy during your teen years may be able to help.

I've helped depressed teens who look in the mirror and are unable to recognize themselves start feeling interested in life again.  With new motivation, comes the new energy they desire to have for being an engaged student, friend, and daughter/son.

My clients discover that it's possible to be productive and passionate without living life at a frenzied pace!

What you can expect:

Therapy consists of 50-minute, one-on-one sessions that help you work through your concerns. Typically, the client leads the conversation.  In addition to listening, I will guide you towards solutions.

Here’s how it will work, step-by-step:

1. First, I provide a safe, accepting space so that you will feel comfortable sharing your struggles with me.
2. Through hearing your story, I will start to get a picture of what your challenges are.
3. We will start with helping you with immediate concerns like managing difficult emotions and challenging life situations
4. We will also work to discover what your goals are in therapy and in life.
5. Keeping your unique goals in mind, we’ll figure out what’s needed to help you reach them
6. Over the course of our sessions, you will start making progress towards the life you desire.

Research shows that therapy during adolescence can
positively change your thinking, beliefs, emotions, and behaviors.

It can help you let go of what’s holding you back!  :)
